So I've been hearing a lot about this George Zimmerman character and his involvement with the shooting of Trayvon Martin. I have noticed that this is causing much racial tension in the Caucasian, Latino and black communities due to this one man.
Recently the Black Panthers, as we all remember them from the 60's and 70's, made Wanted posters for George Zimmerman.
Wanted DEAD or ALIVE with a reward of $10,000. Although this behavior quite extreme, the black community of Florida is seeking vengeance for a dead family and community member who they held close to their hearts. Even if this young boy had troubles like we all do, did he really deserve to die? Will this type of action by one man cause more gun carrying laws and more racial tension?
As we take a look on the Mourning Facebook profile for Trayvon Martin, we see anger, sorrow, and memories of the beloved shared.
But as we see in some of the posts on this memorial page
there is controversy. Racial tension omitted by the media stating that George Zimmerman was a white male, even though he is considered to his friends and family, Latino. This has caused much racial tension on the memorial page as seen below.
Hostility is right Joanne Brown. Emotions sometimes can get the best of us and when we feel vulnerable, wronged and backed into a corner, we strike without thought.
