Want to duet?

https://youtu.be/c6ps-TMZmEU

Just You and I, no one Else’s prying eyes. They won’t know what whirlwind hit them with the birds coming together to chirp such a tune when it’s released.

Mark my words!

Your open faced book.

I'm sure many of you have and haven't heard about the website your open book. Youropenbook is a website showing the privacy flaws in the social media website we all know of.

On the website youropenbook, you can essentially look up any keyword of your choice and it will perform a search of the most recent people using that word in their posts.

Oh the irony!

Although you cannot look up specific people and spy on what they say, you can still type in their names and see if anyone has mentioned them.

Watch out Bill Nye! There are people talking about you.

The majority of these peoples profiles are private and still have flaws which leave them open to observant and prying eyes for those who wish to know. Not only is this social media's website privacy laws very transparent, they don't work! I typed my name into google once and it showed a picture of myself, taken from this website which i had deleted years ago. This website has the right to sell it's users information anyway it can benefit the company who's buying. Just like any type of data mining site, your pictures, thoughts, and your friends and families pictures and thoughts are all being recorded, profiled, packaged and sold to the highest bidder.

This quote was found on this website and is the slogan used by youropenbook to point out his feelings towards the users. Is it out of context? Sure. But it still points out his lack of ethics during the upbringing of the website. So what do you think could be said now on this man's power trip and rise to fame. Has his ego taken over his heart?

In my next post i'm going to go in depth more about the problems with personal privacy and the possibilities of a bigger picture for what this website could possibly be used for by various 3 letter government agencies and whether you care or not about what you say, it is being profiled. Just like how this post will be saved and profiled in my name.

The easter bunny

Don't believe in the Easter bunny? Well neither do I. In many westernized cultures we have been celebrating Easter by buying peeps, cadbury eggs, hunting for plastic easter eggs with various candies inside them. Some also go to church sunday morning to celebrate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Call your attorney and slap your priest in the face because what if I told you Easter and it's original celebration is symbolic and was celebrated as a religious ceremony regarding psychoactive mushrooms, the hunt to find them and the reward once ingested?

The premature Amanita Muscaria mushroom.

Before the amanita mushroom is fully mature, an egg shaped body springs from the ground and pushes the pine needles aside forming a circular bed that looks like a birds nest. When this happens, the appearance is of eggs in a birds nest that has fallen from the trees. When the premature amanita muscaria mushrooms are taken from the ground, the remaining imprint is that of a rabbit hole. During these times families with their children searched throughout the surrounding forests in early spring with woven baskets to search and collect these mushrooms for religious purposes upon the ingestion. In some Germanic and christian traditions, they feast on colored eggs after a long fast for lent symbolizing the fast that is needed to purify the body for the ingestion and strong effects of the amanita muscaria.

Found one!

The ties with this mushroom and the christian ideology of Christ's resurrection can be understood easily if you look at the mushrooms cycle of life. Could the resurrection of Jesus Christ be symbolic for a magical mushrooms life cycle?

  1. The base of the mushroom itself, mycelium. Though this mycelium, millions of spores are potential candidates to create amanita eggs.
  2. The mycelium has matched up two spores and combine to create the egg.
  3. The egg is born into the new fruiting body of the amanita muscaria.
  4. The amanita muscaria body is mature and has millions of spores in its gills.
  5. If the mushroom is not picked by this stage, the gills curl and spray the area with spores and the mushroom has died. Days later...RESURRECTION!
Just like the mythos of the resurrection of the phoenix.

“The Phoenix: From the ashes (spores) the egg appears. Then comes the upturned cap resembling a gold and red colored bird (the gills as feathers). Then the heat (sun) burns the mushroom and it dissolves, once again leaving only ashes (spores), and finally repeating the whole cycle … The Phoenix-bird mythology is another piece of mushroom folklore. As the fetus is generated in the furnace of the uterus, so the mushroom, that ‘evil ferment of the soil’, as Nicander (second century BC) calls it, is created, a womb within a womb, as it were. Like the fabulous Phoenix, the mushroom is self-generated and regenerated, bursting forth from the volva, only to die as quickly and then apparently miraculously to reappear, a resurrection of its own self. -James Arthur, “Mushrooms and Mankind”

Is the body of christ a psychoactive mushroom? Did many religious sects get the whole story wrong or whitewashed along the years?

Is all this suffering in the name of god and anti-god truly needed? Are we as a culture totally contaminated?

Happy Easter, regardless if you believe in God, the Easter bunny or eating some fine mushrooms.

Art in my life

I am a huge abstract and psychedelic art fan. I love viewing such art because it takes me to a place where i try to understand what this person was trying to express through his or her creation. I also love religious Renaissance art which i will also be showing all of you. What kind of art do you guys like, if any? I personally believe art can be any form of expression which in a sense, captures the viewer to think or be in awe.

One of my favorite artists is a man by the name of Alex Grey.

One of his first jobs was being a mortician which he learned the human anatomy which is how he learned to give such detail to the biological part of his paintings.

Through his life and his personal spiritual experiences he began to express the layer we cannot see with our physical eyes,

but with our connection with a higher consciousness, our heart and our third eye all connected.

He expresses his life, through his heart and minds eye. From copulation,
To the pregnancy of his wife and the stages in utero,
to the birth of his daughter,
full of life, purity and wonderment,

                                 spiritually connected, with new life
and the bond between them all.

One a scaled level we are one unified,

living together in this dualistic world,

all on a journey, whether we wish to follow that path to grow,

or to succumb to the suffering and live in sorrow.

                                           We all shall live

                                        searching for that light,

though one thing is for certain, we all will die.

See you next wednesday

So after having a great few weeks of people becoming interested in my blog, i've decided to share with you how I came to use  the name See you next Wednesday for my blog. As a long time fan of the movie director John Landis and Stanley Kubrick i began noticing "see you next wednesday" easter eggs in movies, music videos, cartoons and so on. Was there a hidden meaning to this phrase or is it an inside joke?

From the movie Coming to America.

From IMDB: The trademark trivia often mentioned in Landis directed films, the inclusion in some form of the phrase "See you next Wednesday" is a reference to a line in the Stanley Kubrick film '2001: A Space Odyssey' where astronaut Frank Poole watches a video sent to him by his wife and father on the occasion of his birthday. At the end of the video his wife says, "See you next Wednesday!" an obvious reference to their next available time to transmit a message to the distant space craft bound for Jupiter, though since Frank is killed within the next day or two by HAL, it is perhaps meant as an ironic trademark since it seems to occur in Landis films when characters are in great danger.

From the 1980 film, blues brothers.

Both above from the movie Schlock.

From the movie Trading places.

Both above from the movie American Werewolf in London.

I use it as a symbolic gesture to express and share my findings of what i feel is odd, interesting or magnificent to all of you. Knowledge in a sense, is powerful if understood and not feared. It can help you in daily life or when something unexpected may happen. Life is not linear, it cannot be expected. If we are in danger, none of us will ever know. But if we are, i'll see you next wednesday.

Weird Earth

Weird phenomenon happening on our earth. Is it that these things have never happened before or is it that we are more connected through the internet and able to share our observations on a wider scale?

Whatever the causes may be, we are aware. There is more to come, so lets prepare.
